We are planning to organise an Indian Food Mela at the local community centre and sell Indian snacks, all home made, brought by my friends who offered to help me and we all together going to amke this a huge success byt raising lots of money. Every penny we raise will be used to support disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.

OUR FUNDRAISING COULD:

MAKE IT end for a child suffering physical or emotional abuse
MAKE IT possible for a seriously ill child to receive respite care
MAKE IT worthwhile for a young carer’s support service
MAKE IT safe for a homeleass teenager
MAKE IT big or MAKE IT small, every single penny we raise will help
MAKE IT better for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. So the single fundraising activity arranged by me, my friends will enable us to help a group of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK that might otherwise miss out.

Together we can MAKE IT count
So this year how will we MAKE IT??

Every year BBC Children in Need helps

Children and young people experiencing poverty, deprivation or homelessness
Children and young people suffering from illness, abouse, distress or neglect
Children and young people with learning, sensory or physical disabilities
Children and young people with behavioural and psychological disorders.

This sounds like an amazing money-raising scheme, so I hope it goes well! However, are you sure you want the cash to go to Children in Need? CIN is basically a big charity that takes your cash, spends £2m of it on admin, and then doles it out to causes you might not even approve of! This was all news to me too, but then I read this… http://www.intelligentgiving.com/truth_and_lies/watchdog/children_in_need
