Pomfret Fry

Pomfrets: 3 small( Found them in our local kerala shop and he suggested that they taste superb)
so tried these.
Chilli powder: 2 tsp
Turmeric: 1 tsp
Lemon: 1
salt to taste
Oil: 2 tbsp
Add all these to pomfret pieces( or whole if u want to) and marinade them for couple of hours in the fridge

I shallow fried them in oil( 1 cup of oil) and fry 10 min(or less) on each side until they are cooked and browned.Don’t turn them often, just once !!!
Garnish with coriander and serve with rice and sambhar.

Yummy yum!!!!!!

Cup cakes

Never tried baking cup cakes and I am no expert in cakes so i leave that to experts and buy whats available at the bakeries or cake shops!!
But suddenly I offered to help my son’s school by selling cakes to the children and there by raising money. We( Along with my 2 friends) said we will bake for the whole school as its for a good cause!!!
So here it is!! I have to bake 200 cup cakes for next friday. the 17th.
I am really happy that I took this small project as i used to think that, I never have time, too busy at work etc etc but i feel its upto us to make time for ourselves, for the kid or for the family u know!!
So here’s the actual funny part, told my son who is 5 yrs that i am gonna bake 200 cakes. So he wanted to see how i bake these cup cakes so that he won’t get embarrassed in front of his whole school so asked me at 8:00 on friday to make some for him.

They were absolutely delicious!! and now he says he can’t wait till next friday!!!

chapathis with carrot raitha, cucumber chutney and pumpkin curry

Had a sumptuous vegetarian meal on friday night!!Great way to start a weekend isin’t it!!
