Cabbage fry
I will tell u a secret here, can u believe me if i say i have cooked cabbage just twice in my entire married life?? i used to make kofta occasionally but never a curry or a fry till now b’coz i just hate it!!
But after making couple of times, i started liking it and my husband was shocked yest when he saw this for his dinner yest!!Its a simple recipe, but tastes yummy!!
I tasted this in one of my friend who is a keralite.
Cabbage: 1 full
grated coconut: 3 tbsp
green chillies: 4
urid dal, chana dal, mustard seeds, jeera: 1 tsp each.
curry leaves: 2 sprigs
Fry urid dal. chana dal, jeera and mustard seeds, as soon as mustard seeds start spluttering, add curry leaves and cabbage and fry for few min.Then add turmeric, chilli powder and salt and put a lid and turn the heat into medium and let it cook!! Don’t add water at all as u will ahev sufficient water coming from the cabbage itself to make it moist!!
As soon oil starts oozing, add grated coconnut and mix well.
Serve it with chapathis!!!
