Strawberry Smoothie

I would love to start my day with a healthy breakfast and a nice smoothie.
I had noticed significant changes in my child, he has become more attentive, active. May be its me but i feel Breakfas is the most important meal of the day which i realised quite recently!!

Instead of packet cereals and burnt toast, i try to whip up soemthing worthwhile in the morning.
Eggs can be incredibly simple but deliciously nutritious and Smoothies made of fresh fruit are so refreshing in the morning.
The one above is strawberry and banana smoothie
1 banana
8 to10 strawberries
1tbsp honey
1 cup milk( u can add little more if u don’t want it thick)
Use a blender until smooth, taste before u serve and if required u can add more honey.
Its a simple recipe but so nutritious!!!

IDLI SAMBHAR WITH CORIANDER-GINGER CHUTNEY

Fascinating Pictures and recipes from my wonderful friend Sailaja made me crave for idlis for couple of days.
I saw her latest idli and ginger-coriander chutney pictures and i couldn’t wait to make it as it is an amazing recipe.

Who can resist idli and sambhar along with any chutney ,I for one love the tantalising smell of idli sambhar with any spicy chutney like coconut or groundnut but never tried this corainder-ginger one.

Chicken Curry with Chapathis

This was our sunday lunch, a typical andhra style chicken curry with chapathis. Every sunday back at my place or at rocky’s, we have a traditional meal together, it more like a family get together where we all tend to be at home for lunch.

During weekdays, with hectic schedules, its really hard to sit together and enjoy a nice meal

Sundays are so special to us and for me especially b’coz its my dad’s fun time in the kichen.Being a busy Doctor, my dad used to always cook a Non Veg meal, either fish or lamb or my fav chicken.

My mom used to have a relaxing sunday while my dad used to toil in the kitchen, trying to cook a superb meal. Here is his recipe which i already posted for chicken curry
