The Ultimate Chocolate Fudge Cake
Desserts are a magnificent starting point for a novice cook. But I never indulged myself into making rich fabulous creations of cakes, pastries, meringues and berries as no one in my family have a sweet tooth.
Rocky loves simple sponge cakes, Noel does love to have but a piece or two. So my desserts are always with fresh fruit. But when I saw Meeta’s Big Birthday Bang, I decided to try something very rich and something with chocolate as for me no birthday is complete without a chocolate cake.
So I sat with a cuppa of hot tea and started looking for the ultimate chocolate cake recipe and I have always enjoyed flicking through the cookbooks to find a recipe of my choice for the mood I am in sometimes for a fiery hot salad or some nachos with jelapeno peppers on top or simple lentil soup.So here was I was with my huge collection of cookbooks and magazines and found this recipe from bbcgoodfood magazine and hey presto!! This is it!!
I made this adding my own tinge to the mix and it went down a treat with our guests on Sunday Barbecue.
Now for the cake u need:
5 eggs
2 cups of caster sugar
1 and 1/2 cups of self raising flour
4 to 5 tbsp of cocoa powder
1/2cup of butter(room temperature).

Preheat the oven first and grease a round cake tin.
Whisk eggs and caster sugar together using a hand mixer until its fluffy and start getting thickened.
Now add flour in small quantities along with cocoa powder into the egg mixture, gently add the melted butter as well.
Now pour this mixture into the cake tin and bake for atleast 20 minutes and after that try to touch the top and it should be spongy which takes another 7 to 10 minutes.
