Paneer and Chickpeas Masala

Its been quite a while, I cooked a decent meal at home. Work stress, drudgery did effect me for a week and and I just hated to go into the kitchen as I was too tired to do anything let alone make a decent meal.
Its just one of those days where you can’t motivate yourself well enough to get up and do something.Anyway after struggling for few days, I am back to my usual self today and made this simple meal, Paneer and Chickpeas masala with Chapathis

Paneer and chickpeas masala:
Paneer: ½ cup (cut into small cubs)
Chole or chickpeas: 1 cup
Tomatoes:4
Ginger garlic paste: 1tbsp
Yoghurt: 1/4th cup
Chilli powder, turmeric 1 tsp each
Onion: 1
Green chillies: 4
Chana masala powder: 1tbsp
Salt to taste.
Soak chickpeas overnight and pressure cook them.Take 1/4th of the cup and make into a paste.
Now take 1tbsp of oil in a saucepan and fry onions, chillies until they turn light brown, add ginger garlic paste and saute for couple of minutes. Now add tomatoes and saute for few extra minutes say 5 .
Add all the masalas along with the chickpeas paste and mix well.
Add salt and 1 glass of water.
As soon as it starts boiling add remaining pressure cooked chickpeas along with paneer cubes.
You can shallow fry paneer cubes if u want before adding. As I wanted a little healthier option of not using too much oil, I just added paneer cubes just like that.
Now leave it for 10 min on low heat.
Stir in Yoghurt after switching off and garnish with fresh rotis or chapathis or rice.
Stumble it!
