Fearless Cooking on TV
After a very very long and hectic weeks, it ended with very little disappointment as I lost in the finals. But I feel I did pretty good as this was my first time experience in this unknown world of TV Cooking and being one of the finalist was quite an achievement.
It opened so many opportunities for me and the most important thing is I had the greatest time of my life, it was such a great event and one of the most daunting experience of all.I enjoyed every minute of it and looking forward to watch myself on TV which starts in September.
I met so many wonderful people who immediately put me at ease and was so interested to know about me, my passion for cooking and where in the world I find time to do all this when I am working in the one of the most interesting and busy field of Engineering, a Mum and a my interest in learning and trying wonderful dishes.
Everyone was so amazed with my cooking and absolutely loved my dish and the three famous chefs who awed my wonderful dish. For me that was the best appreciation I have ever received. My friends, colleagues at work love my cooking and used to always appreciate my dishes, even then I used to think they are being nice to me and may be I am cooking their most liked recipes but I get constant requests for recipes and step by step instructions, I have realised that may be I am good at cooking.
When the National TV production manager approached me to participate in their cooking event, I was quite apprehensive as I never thought it would happen to me but after immense support from my wonderful hubby, I had decided to give it a go and a new and exciting world was wide open in front of me.I was a finalist and for a first timer that’s not bad at all. I lost to a 20yr old wannabe chef who was an amazing person who tried an delicious starter which was absolutely tasty.
My two episodes will be in September as the series will start in first week of September and I will post those videos on my blog so you all can watch!!I am so grateful to everyone who encouraged me and helped me throughout my journey.I have met new people who share the same passion as myself who became my good friends.I was totally amazed to meet new people and learn how and why they are so passionate as me.All this made me become more stronger person than ever with wonderful support from my husband who helped all the way through good and bad.And especially Noel, my son who was so excited and so proud of his mom and I am so happy that I met u, wonderful fellow bloggers who were always so nice and so encouraging.
I feel its so wonderful to tell you all about my exciting experiences, lessons I learnt the hard way, appreciation you receive for all the effort you have put into something which means a lot.Thank you all!!
Here are couple of photos with great chefs who were the judges at the cooking show and few of my work colleagues relishing my dish
