Cooking Saga~~Potato Wedges
With glorious sunshine around and India trip just days away, I am on cooking spree these days, dinners, noel’s friends around, picnics to go.
I was trying to fit in all these with a busy work schedule as well, got a client who is after my designs which I need to submit before I go on holiday so taking work to home which is a complete no no at my home but u need to wave the rules to suit ourselves right!!
With School holidays now, Noel is after me to take him to new Simpsons movie which I absolutely detest, I just can’t do this one thing for him.
And him without knowing anything about my hatred towards that cartoon stills asks me everyday and I try to avoid talking about that subject and tell him other wonderful things lined up at his holiday club and at friends places.
Now a days he hardly gets any time to relax as he is got so many events at holiday club like biking, fancy dress party and on thursday he is off to Rendlesham Forest!!
Shall I tell you something else as well, I’m as excited as him this week, U know why?
I am off to London for the Movie Premier, Chak De India on Thursday. I am so excited that rocky keeps laughing at me and gives me a look which resembles as if he is looking at a child with a huge bar of chocolate who is absolutely thrilled to just hold it.
With a tight schedule around, Rocky kindly offered to help me by working from home on Friday so that I can directly go to work without worrying about noel who is having a sleepover at one his close friend’s house.
Poor hubby will be all alone at home and he says he will be fine as he is got a football match. Sometimes I wonder how lucky I am to have a wonderful husband like Rocky and an amazing child as Noel. May be I don’t say it too often that work life and being a mom does drain me sometimes and I need things like this, just a dinner out with friends or something to revitalise or reboot my energy and Rocky knows when i am totally stressed out and he always says never miss out something and regret it later and I think when we have this outstanding support from our dear hubbies, whats there to stop us gals???
Now coming to my cooking saga, we had some pleasant picnics and dinners every other day n I decided to go for some quicky snacks which are less mess-no fuss, so very quick to make and they were an absolute hit with the kids.
I made quesadillas, potato tikkis, potato wedges, prawns biryani and veggie pasta.
Here are some of the snaps I took, recipes to follow sooooon!!Till them just slobber over my dishes!!
Many many errands to run before i can peacefully relax and enjoy my holiday but i will quickly post my amazing potato wedges recipe first
Potatoes: 4 to 5 cut into wedges and soak them cold water for 10minutes so that they don’t stick to each other when u bake them.
Preheat the oven and bake them with a drizzle of sunflower oil.
It will take around 20 minutes for them to bake, take them out and coat them with chillipowder and salt.
A very simple dish indeed!!!
Potato Wedges
Stumble it!

Hey Sig, he doesn’t see my blog very often and i am so mean when it comes to praising someone on their face, i feel it so artificial and think that they should know it even if don’t say anything!!
Simpsons, i don’t know sig i hate the language, the influence on the kids!!
Hey do u think i am too conservative??

What a busy day you had… You re right I am slobbering over those, particularly the tikkas and the pasta. I didnt know that soaking the potatoes in cold water will prevent them from sticking. I guess the starch gets washed away… thats even healthier.
Thanx for the tip
