A Gardener’s View

I have been wanting to dedicate a post to the dedicated gardener in our home, that’s Rocky!

The joy he gets after a day’s toil in our small garden makes me wonder what we enjoy the most. As soon as the sun is out, Myself and Noel would be thinking of which beach would be wonderful for a stroll or what to enjoy… a candy floss or ice cream? or rush to the near by Rendlesham Forest for biking and there Rocky would be busy landscaping the garden and visualising what has to be changed, where the plants to go etc…

His favourite past time is definitely gardening and I have never seen anyone as dedicated as he is to the our beautiful garden. When our friends appreciate our beautiful our garden is, I always see a pride of joy on Rocky.

With such a busy life, away from home for nearly 14 hours, one would wonder how weekend are spent by this busy man but the first thing we would start his weekend by throwing some bread for birds, filling our bird feeders around the garden and then his cup of tea!

I think after all these wonderful years of marriage, I guess it rubbed on me as well… for the past 2 years we had grown tomatoes and few other little things but this year, Rocky gave a patch for my vegetables and herbs. We have planted some wonderful veggies and herbs .

Here are some pictures taken recently, I was so chuffed to see them growing into amazing plants. That feeling of happiness cannot be replaced by anything else.

Update: The BBC show went really well, had an amazing time at the studios… the show will be aired sometime in September, will give you more details on time and date in few weeks.

Spicy Lamb Kebabs with a Hint of Mint

Spicy food is something we all crave quite often at home. Rocky and myself cannot stand bland food..If I am busy at work or off on meetings, one thing I look forward to coming home and tickle my taste buds with something very very spicy.

Hope it stays that way but today its overcast and rain is on its way!! Not that I am complaining as my veggie patch need watering so there u see!!
